Convert Hindi Devanagari to Latin script using Hunterian transliteration, plus approximate IPA for pronunciation reference.
The Hunterian system is the traditional romanization used for Hindi and other Indian languages in English contexts (e.g. geographic names). It maps Devanagari letters to Latin letters with diacritics such as ā, ṭ, and ṅ.
A simplified broad phonemic transcription for reference. It does not model all Hindi phonology (for example schwa deletion); for precise pronunciation, consult a dictionary or native speaker.
